It was our lords year 2009, nine long years after we marched into what was heralded as the start of something downright fantastic. This was the time when we are supposed to look back, pat ourselves on the back for pounding through another decade and bringing about scores of improvements to life. Instead, the twisted carnage and smoldering remains of what should have been a glorious continuance of a flourishing world were all that was left in the wake of such unrestrained gluttony and greed. Countries laid in ruins at our hands; Our economy was teetering on the brink; What goodwill we had, had been spoiled on pointless self indulgent ego boosting; And to make it all worse we could no longer ignore any of it. Technological achievements, things of science fiction that would last forever and one day unite us in world peace, instead had consumed us, crippled us, enslaved us in a vicious cycle of assumed betterment and disposable goods. Our world was not as it was promised and where we went wrong was on everyone's minds. There was no answer.
